The original 30th birthday cake is a round cake with digital humour for those crossing the thirty mark. The top is black and shows a neon blue loading bar stopped at 99 per cent, with the text “30 ans en cours d'installation”, which stays in French. Blue and white rosettes surround it all.

He works in IT, or simply spends his life in front of screens. His friends turn up, the lights go off and the blue bar appears: everyone understands the joke before he blows out the candles. This geek birthday cake avoids the age jokes that upset, and replaces the dread of turning 30 with a smile. It also suits an office party for a developer colleague, where everyone knows how long 99% can last.

One more line, or the first name, goes in the field provided at checkout: it is up to you to invent the error message. Count on 12 or 20 servings. Possible flavours: chocolate hazelnut, strawberry, raspberry, vanilla. Prepared for that date, it leaves our workshop with our team, who deliver in France and Monaco.

Allergens: gluten (wheat), eggs, milk. The chocolate hazelnut flavour contains tree nuts.

Handcrafted creation: slight variations are part of the charm of each piece.
